Today we're very excited to shine The Spotlight on Annie Fahlenbock, Owner and Director of Fierce Hockey! Before we get to know more about Fierce, let's get to know a little bit about Annie. Check out this video from her introduction into the Leaside Sports Hall of Fame...

What's your game, girl?

I've been teaching hockey for over 20 years in North America. I'm on the ice anywhere between 3-8 hours a day during hockey season. And I still love it! Hockey has always been a place of confidence, inspiration and passion. My goal is to help everyone enjoy the sport as much as I do.

When did you start Fierce Hockey?

I started Fierce Hockey 12 years ago. We are a unique program where players improve fast, work hard and are inspired to try and get to the next level. We love hockey and our students can't help but love it too!

Fierce is a passion driven company. Everyone here loves being on the ice. Our goal is to produce a unique experience for each of our students that gives them confidence in all areas of life. We pride ourselves on having an environment where everyone is inspired.

When did you first start playing?

Later than most--I was 7 years old when I started skating and 8 when I started playing.

Later than most?! I started when I was 16. lol. Sorry - back to you...

Any proud moments from your career so far that stand out?

Getting a full ride to the University of New Hampshire.

Annie was also the Captain for the UNH Hockey Team. She earned a BA in English. ANNNNDDD she was inducted into the Leaside Sports Hall of Fame. #NBD

Fave workout hairsyle?

High pony, or bun!

Any hair disasters you want to reminisce about?

When I had short hair and I looked like a Q-tip.

What's your take on the saying - Hair Up, Game On?

I tell all the kids with long hair that when they are working out on or off the ice their hair needs to be up! Hair up, game on!

The people need to know - how often do you wash your hair? Poo or no poo?

I usually was my hair 1-2 times per week. Yes to shampoo.
